Boat Accessibility

Due to the historic design and layout of our narrowboats, including emergency exit restrictions and limited internal space, wheelchairs cannot be taken aboard our boats.

 

Access to the vessel involves steps and may not be suitable for guests with significant mobility impairments.

We understand this may be disappointing and are always happy to discuss individual access requirements in advance to help determine whether we can accommodate your needs safely.

This canal boat 1 hour cruise was a perfect way to find out more about the history and current day life on the canals. Scott was a great raconteur and made our trip fun and interesting. The boat is clean and you can buy drinks (alcohol too) and snacks to be enjoyed while on the tour. Would not recommend for disabled or those passengers who have mobility issues as you have to board the boat by going down 4 steps backwards. Otherwise the boat is easy to move around once on board.

We had the best experience with Brindley Cruises touring the canals of Birmingham. Super entertaining and informative, and drinks on-board are among the best prices you'll find anywhere. Available for private events too, we'll definitely think about something in the future when we visit again with more family and friends!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time out, Scott was well knowledged, very informative, polite and funny, very smooth sailing from the driver also, we had to buy a souvenir for our memories, it was a lovely time and the weather held up and the sun came out for the perfect overall experience.
